What is SS 904L Stainless Steel Wire?

SS 904L wire is a super austenitic stainless steel wire containing high levels of chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), and molybdenum (4–5%). It delivers exceptional resistance to strong acids, chloride stress corrosion, and pitting, making it ideal for harsh chemical and saltwater environments. SS 904L is also non-magnetic, even after cold working, and suitable for high-purity applications.

Available in soft annealed, half-hard, and spring-hard conditions, SS 904L wire is supplied in coils, spools, or custom cut lengths.
