What is SS 316L Bar?
SS 316L is a low-carbon variant of 316 stainless steel, offering the same superior resistance to chlorides, acids, and harsh chemicals, but with enhanced weldability and minimized risk of intergranular corrosion after welding. It is particularly effective in marine, chemical, and high-salinity environments where maximum corrosion resistance is critical.
Its molybdenum content (2–3%) provides better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared to SS 304/304L.
